NOW WITH COLOR.

((I’m posting this tentatively ‘cause whenever I’m drawing characters in different outfits, I always second-guess [and third- and fourth-guess] myself about the colors and all that. I think after awhile I just gave up on the white-panelly things ‘cause I couldn’t even figure out what was going on in the ref. So I just spammed a background and voila. Pretend I know what I’m doing. xD))

…Sometimes I feel like my art is somehow getting better and worse at the same time… Like… I dunno. I’m trying to be more stylized, and in my sketchbook I feel like it looks that way, but then when it’s on the computer and fully colored, I feel like all my art looks kinda the same, and like I didn’t quite accomplish what I was going for… oh well. :/

In case anyone’s wondering, the next crossovers you can probably expect are all more Foster’s crossovers, actually. LRW and Nocan as Nemesis and Imaginary Man, LRW as Frankie Foster (durrhurrhurr the sketch looks terrible now - I started it on Easter and I don’t know what I’m doing), and Ms. Question as Goo. Yay for Grey DeLisle crossovers. After that…. well, I wanna enter SSWG’s contest, but I need a decent idea… and then after that I have to choose between either drawing more things on my neverending list of crossovers, trying to draw XS art, drawing characters I haven’t in awhile again (I’ve so been meaning to draw InvisiBill and it just keeps not happening - UGH), ooooooor maybe drawing more characters from the “World Without WordGirl” AU ‘cause I’m really attached to that and the designs are just so much fun even though some of them are kinda stupid, and I just aklsjdflkasdjflkajsdflkjsd. I never know what to draw anymore. Like, my art’s felt so calculated lately, and sometimes I just wish I had more of a variety of ideas for other characters… but it’s harder to do that ‘cause I have to MAKE time for art, so if I can only get one or two pictures done a month, I’m gonna wanna have it be of characters I like more, even if I have a better idea for a character that’s gonna take me longer to draw ‘cause I never draw them… if that makes any sense at all. x__x

…Long story short, it’s not working. 

I think coloring this somehow made his hands and the picture frame look worse… and I didn’t fix the argyle as well as I’d hoped… Also somehow the color made his expression look angrier, and I’m not sure how…? :( [Ugh. PERFECTIONISM.] 

Interestingly enough, I picked a decidedly different shade of purple for his bowtie, but it kinda looks the same on the green as the other color looks on the blue. Apparently this bowtie is STILL just connected to nothing. He must love bowties so much that he wears them even when not wearing a collared shirt. Heacanon.

Oh well. I just thought there should be at least one fanart of him in this outfit. And I guess if I’m the only one interested enough to draw it, then whatever. It was pretty fun to draw. :) I can’t complain too much because I do think I’m improving, even if progress is slow right now.

I totally messed up the argyle and his hair and his hands and pretty much everything, so I’ll have to fix it later in photoshop ‘fore I color. (Fun fact: I forgot to draw his brain AND whiskers and I almost posted this before I realized something seemed off. xD) 

I guess that bowtie is just… connected to nothing. ‘Cause that’d totally be comfortable. Ehyup. =/ I blame the reference pic.

I apologize for the really crappy shading job. I’ve only shaded a couple times before, and I don’t really know how. If I upload this to dA, I might remove the shading layer…
Also I’m still bad at this style. I’ll probably take a long time before I can start drawing my own ideas instead of copying screenshots like this. I’m not sure I’ll ever get there really. Besides, combining styles is hard and I just ended up failing at his proportions… and all the angles. GAH. I hate this.

They told me I could draw anything.
So I drew what feels like my billionth crossover involving characters voiced by Tom Kenny. Even though it turns out it’s only about my 4th unless you count the other kind of crossover that I almost never do.

I’ve actually only seen the one Teen Titans episode. And I watched it twice. For the express purpose of drawing this crossover. 

I’ve decided, not surprisingly, that I like Mumbo.
Is it just me, or is my style changing again??? O_O;;;;

Hey, remember this old crossover? Well I actually finished it! (I bet you thought I never would, right? I didn’t think I would finish it either. xD)
For those of you who missed the draft (and actually give a crap), this was my MabelPines!VictoriaBest crossover. ‘Cause… same voice actress… and they’re both annoying as crap. Sorry, not meaning to character bash, but I really just can’t stand either one of them. 

But I tried something different with this crossover. Instead of picking one of the many outfits from the show, I just did a combined outfit instead. Which I pretty much never do. It was kinda fun. :D

Then I got lazy and tried to trace the picture instead of just cleaning up my pencil lines, which is why the lineart is kinda wobbly and inconsistent. :( Also I don’t even know what that pose is. I really don’t remember what I was going for.

Anyway, I’ve officially filled my quota for drawing at least one non-DTB-or-LRW character per every dozen pictures. ;P

So I totally thought I was gonna finish this on Easter or maybe April Fool’s day, though this has nothing to do with either holiday, but then apparently that didn’t happen.These things always seem to take me longer to color than I expect them too.
…I need to draw Lady Redundant Woman being sassy more often. XD And maybe I should draw fewer crossovers while I’m at it.

I shouldn’t even post uncolored crossovers ‘cause they always confused people even MORE at first. I mean, the facial differences are the only way you know that it’s a crossover when there’s no color. And most people don’t understand that unless you’re actually in the fandom. Or unless you know me well enough to know I only draw WordGirl art. ^^; 

Shoot, though, I haven’t drawn in forever. I think my lack of art has lowered my standards for myself. Because the mistakes in this picture aren’t bothering me as much as they normally do.

Oh, and I’m definitely gonna do some copy/paste action ‘cause I’m NOT drawing 8 separate dresses on that clothing rack, which… is floating… apparently… I have no idea what I’m doing. 

Yeah, so apparently Mystery Inc was new this week? I wasn’t really paying attention to the episodes, but they were on, and it kinda reminded me that I was gonna draw LRW as Daphne. So I took a similar line that a different character said to Daphne and turned it into dialogue.  Because it was awkwardly fitting. xD

Also I’m not putting this in the WordGirl tag ‘cause it’s just a WIP and that tag is too quiet right now anyway. I’ll feel awkward being the only person to post anything in ages. O_O;;;;
